About Freedom Controls Group

Founded by a veteran with decades of experience in the HVAC controls industry, Freedom Controls Group exists to deliver open, flexible, and long-term building automation solutions that break away from proprietary lock-in. We serve contractors, building owners, and operators across Metro Atlanta and beyond through both local and remote services.

We specialize in programming, integration, and supporting analytics on platforms like Niagara Framework, as well as legacy and proprietary systems. Our focus is always on helping our clients make smarter decisions about energy, comfort, and equipment longevity.

In addition to open protocols, we emphasize installing hardware that supports an open distribution model. A controls manufacturer may embrace open protocols, but if only one or two contractors in town are allowed to buy the product and access the engineering software, is that really an open system? We say no — it is not. That’s why we leverage both open distribution and open protocols to truly empower the end user and eliminate vendor lock-in.
